Highlights from Northumberland July 2026

The UK has so many beautiful holiday destinations but Northumberland has to be among the finest.
South Shields
It was lovely to catch up with friends and to hear live drumming on the beach
Bent's Park 19th July 2026 - Live Music event
The sun was shining for the first event which got off to a fine start with local artists Shelley Stevens, followed by Channy.
It was great to see 80s and 90s star Sonia and boy band 911 who were about to embark on their 30th anniversary tour, followed by headliner Joe McElderry well known for being from South Shields.
Newbiggin By The Sea
This was my first visit and I thought it was very quiet and quaint with a beautiful Church called St Bartholomew's.
